The Federal Government has slashed the salaries of federal government workers, effective November 2016. The reduction affects civil servants in ministries, departments and other government parastatal.
Leadership Newspaper obtained a press release announcing to staff of Voice of Nigeria (VON) that their NET pay has been reduced drastically.
The statement says the salaries was reduced because of tax, pension and National Housing Fund.
It is however said that those earning huge sum of money have their salary reduced as much as 50%
